Welcome to the York-Hopewell S3DA Team ("Team Squatch") website. The S3DA stands for "Scholastic 3 Discipline Archery", and is a nationwide youth archery league for ages 8-18 (some exceptions apply) with a pathway to collegiate shooting. Archery opportunities for compound and traditional shooters are available.
The York-Hopewell S3DA Team was formed by York Archers & Hopewell Fish & Game Association in 2023.
We're excited to announce, signup time for the 2026-27 competition season is here. We will have two orientation/signup opportunities this year. Our first event will be at Hopewell Fish & Game on Tuesday, October 20th at 6:30PM. Our second event will be held at York Archers on Tuesday, November 3rd at 6:30 PM. All potential 2026-27 team members (including returning teammates) must attend one of these meetings. Please review the National S3DA website (https://www.s3da.net/) prior to the meeting and bring your questions when you attend. If you cannot make one of these meetings, but have a child, or children, planning on competing, please contact us as soon as possible so other arrangements may be discussed.
During our meetings we will review the S3DA program, our team, rules, equipment and expectations. We will answer questions and discuss the path forward. At the end of each meeting there will be an opportunity to sign up. Team members must be registered by November 30th. Practices will begin Tuesday, December 14th. Students 8-18 are eligible. Participants must have their own archery equipment. You may be tempted to register your student in the S3DA program now. Please don’t. Registering early will only add unnecessary expense.
